I rubbed pork with Zaaschilas Chipotle Cremosa..
and season with pepper

Danke Thorsten! :) The masa and tamales are common in my area. There is a large population of Mexicans here...so Mexican food and Tex Mex food is common.
Tamales are sold in stores but I like to make my own. This tamale recipe is mine. I just use what I like for fillings and I love PP. :)
I make them with beef and chicken too and sometimes I make "blank" tamales. These are tamales with no filling...just steamed masa.

I made the PP with chipotle seasoning because I knew I wanted to use it for tamales and burritos. After pulling the pork I chop it fine with a knife. The tamale filling needs to be small or the masa will rupture or might split. (hope that makes sense).

lol Thank you Rolf! :) when I am tired or busy I make BIG tamales, it saves time! I have no mexican blood but have many mexican friends. :)

They saved me a lot of time. Instead of making 12 small ones I made 4 BIG ones. lol
