Thank you for looking! :)

Hammer.:piratethumbs:

Grilled Cactus & Cactus Jelly.:wiegeil:
I think that`s very Cooool.

What a neat idea! Is it common to eat cactus or rather something special?
I'd very much like to try it, but unfortunately the only cactus I could get a hand on is the one in my colleaques office.
Maybe i give it a try tomorrow, as long as he's on vacation ...?

GlückAuf, keep the fire burning,
Lucky

Danke Onkel! :)

Danke Greg! I like to use the things around me. Venison, quail, fish and plants that grow wild. They are very tasty. :)

Thank you Lucky! Not everyone eats cactus here but it is something that is easy for me to pick and use. I love having wild jelly through the winter months. :)
lol Hope your friend will not miss his cactus. Danke Lucky...

:pirateshocked:

Grilled cactus? Everytime you make me speakless!! :piratewink:

What a coincidence:
Yesterday I looked at my few cans pickled cactus and I was thinking about your recipe cactus salad and I want to make it next week . . .

Jeanie, these are the posts we pirates like to see - they are soo strange . . . but f...n´good!

Cheers

Rolf

lol Thank you Rolf!! I enjoy seeing what the Pirates cook too. Many dishes I have not heard of or seen before and they all look so delicious!
I hope you take pics of the salad if you make it. The pickled cactus need to be rinsed with water before using in salad to remove the pickle brine. I know that what ever you make will be fantastic!
Thank you again for everthing Rolf!

Thank you!

Maybe I give `em a try at the pie iron party.

WOW. That is SO cool. I had one of those imported from Italy, but, alas, it died some horrible dehydration death... if I had known you could GRILL them I would have treated it better ;)

Cheers, BBQQQ

It looks great!
I want to test the Jelly!!!
